8th Grade Class Trip

Hello there!

We're 8th graders at Phoenix International Academy, a school in South Phoenix. This is our last year in middle school and we are raising money to go to Friendly Pines for our 8th grade field trip.

Friendly Pines is a camp in Flagstaff. We need to raise $6,000 to go and so far we have raised nearly $700. The money that we are trying to raise will help us experience the activities that we will do at camp. We are really looking forward to the following activities: ropes course, archery, riflery, basketball, campcraft, challenges, dance, drama, canoeing and kayaking. Many of us have never been to camp before, so this will be a really exciting time if we get to go.

In school we are selling snacks, water, and making handmade jewelry so we can do our part to contribute to the trip cost as well.

We really want to go because for the last two years the 8th graders couldn't go due to the pandemic. In addition, most of us haven't had many experiences outside of school for the last couple years because of COVID.
