Faceless by Alyssa Sheinmel
In the book Faceless, by Alyssa Sheinmel, Maisie was injured on a run. She was just running around but then a storm came, she started heading back but lightning hit a power line and a blazing hot fire consumed her. Her left arm had some second degree burns, but it was not as bad as what happened to her face which burned off almost completely. Luckily she was able to be one of the small amount of patients to get a face transplant. But with her new face she needs to learn to start to feel normal.
I wouldn't really recommend this because it talks way too much about feelings, and I also wouldn't recommend a movie for this book, especially the 1st part because of the surgery. Other than that I guess it's okay. If I did recommend this book to anyone it would be to someone who doesn’t like action books. I would rate this book ⭐⭐⭐ out of 5 stars.
The quote ‘’The burn unit is no place to be chipper.” is just another example of the book being about feelings. While the main character isn’t happy, that doesn’t mean no one else can be happy.

In the book Faceless by Alyssa Sheinmel, a girl named Maisie was involved in an electrical fire and had lost her face. She had gotten a face transplant and got a new face. She can’t stop thinking about her donor’s death, how she died, and how half of the donor’s face had to be cut off and put on her. She thought about it so much that she even has nightmares about the donor’s incident.
The book Faceless is a very good and interesting book. It’s eerie, weird, ominous, creepy, fun, and dark. The first part of the book was confusing only because I was wondering why it was called Faceless, but I've gotten my answer. The book is easy to read and understand but hard to read too. It’s just certain words in the book that I don’t quite understand. The book wasn’t predictable at all because when you see the word Faceless on a book cover, you wouldn’t know what to expect. I thought the book was about a person who thinks they’ve lost their identity or maybe someone who gets bullied and has decided that they’ve had enough. Though I know this is probably not a true story, when I first read the book, I thought this actually happened to someone. My favorite part about this book is when my character gets the donor’s face transplanted onto hers, and sees the jagged lines running throughout her face. There is only one connection I have with the book so far. That is being insecure about myself. My character Maisie doesn't like how she looks with the donor’s face on her. She says she looks “freak-ish” because she has freckles on her forehead but not on the bottom half of her face like how they used to be. But anyways I like the way she has this crazy fade type font on every chapter. It makes me feel like I'm reading a royal script or something. I really recommend this book for people who like dark, weird, adventurous, mysterious, and crazy stories. If this book had a rating chart I would rate it a 5 out of 5.
